How does it work?

If you buy an item in Australia for more than $10 with your Gem Visa and within 12 months of its purchase the item is lost, stolen or damaged, we'll pay to your account, at our option, either:

  • the original purchase price, or
  • the cost of repair or replacement.

This also applies to items bought:

  • for someone else as a gift, and
  • up to 120 days before the start of the policy.

For items purchased before the start of the policy, the loss, theft or damage must occur after the start of the policy.
